U.S. ELECTION 2012: WHAT IS YOUR VISION FOR AMERICA?

On the final day of frenetic campaigning through the battleground states that will determine the outcome of the US presidential race, the push comes as national polls show the race is tied. In a final 24 hours, Obama and Romney -- or their campaign surrogates, including their wives and the vice presidential candidates -- are scheduled to make stops in Ohio, Iowa, Florida, Virginia, Colorado, Wisconsin, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and New Hampshire. A new CNN poll showed 49% support for Obama and 49% for Romney.

Achieving a balance between confidence and terror, as you anticipate, a new U.S. political course takes some doing...

LA DICTADURA DEL HAMBRE

Queridos amigos, desde nuestro blog os invitamos a una reflexión sobre la nueva campaña de ACCIÓN CONTRA EL HAMBRE de Octubre 2012.

10000 niños mueren al día por desnutrición aguda. Hoy el hambre supone una ‘Gran Dictadura’. Pero juntos podemos derrocarla. El breve y singular vídeo que protagoniza de forma gráfica la campaña es contundente, voraz y demoledor... Pepe Sancho emula un discurso de Chaplin en un film de 1940, que aún hoy tiene una vigencia evidente. Nos impresiona el mensaje, la magnífica aportación de nuestro compañero el actor Pepe Sancho y la impactante emoción que nos transmite. ES TIEMPO DE REFLEXIÓN, PERO FUNDAMENTALMENTE DE ACCIÓN.

La dictadura del hambre acaba cada día con la vida de 10.000 niños en un mundo que produce suficientes alimentos para todos y en un momento en el que existe un tratamiento eficaz y asequible para curar la desnutrición.

Un tratamiento que cuesta solo 40 euros y al que únicamente uno de cada 10 niños desnutridos tiene acceso.
